Todd, Lex and Jase spent most of the time at the horse show. Me and the kids and kristi went to the show one day. I think Maelyn thought we were at the rodeo she kept asking when the horses were going to start bucking. The kids had fun they liked walking through the barns and looking at the horses.
We stayed in a really great house. It was a guys guest house but it had everything. A pool, hot tub, swing set, trampoline, lots of grass, sand volleyball aka a really big sand box, basketball, tennis, and to top it off a koi pond. Me and the kids only hit the horse show 1 out of 3 days we spent most of our time here just enjoying the sunshine.
The kids were so excited to ride on an airplane. And arriving 1 hour and 10 minutes for a flight isn't early enough. The clerk at the flight desk decided that being 1 minute late to the desk is a good reason to give our tickets away to standby as we watch. Lets just say not a happy experience. And the next flight wasn't for 8 hours. So what do you do with 3 kids in an airport for 8 hours. Lets just we were really glad when those hours were up and we were on the airplane.
The annual Bear Lake trip was great there was just enough snow to sled right in front of the Cabin. It even snowed while we were up there. We did have one small sledding injury, there was a pile up on the hill and Brock's head slammed into Cole's face. Brock ended up with the lesser injury of the two with a bruised cheek. And I'm afraid you don't get much sympathy when the other person is bleeding all over the hill. Cole ended up with a gushing bloody nose described to me a as fauset and a nasty fat lip with a torn frenulum(the skin that hangs from your upper lip). But he was a super champ and went right out the next day to sled some more. That magic mouth wash the doctor gave him worked great. But all in all it was a good time we played games watched movies and of course ate lots and lots of treats!
What is better than jumping in freezing cold puddles in January? I don't know but the kids did have fun at least till the cold settled in. Maelyn didn't last quite as long as Cole, "It's freezing" she kept saying. She must of been really cold becuase usually she is a die hard! She hasn't learned the trick of not filling her boots up with water, which helped with her premature departure. Eden thought she was the coolest thing out there.
Bronson's birthday party was at the trampoline park. The kids had a ball, and so did a few adults including myself ( although my jumping skills are a bit rusty to say the least).
